I am the Director of Research for CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership, an international disability non-profit. My mixed methods disability research program, informed by disability studies and social psychology, focuses on ableism, quality of life of disabled people, social policy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and social determinants of health. I received my PhD in Disability Studies and MS in Disability and Human Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to working for CQL, I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Disability Studies Program and in the School of Social Work at the University of Washington.
